I'm going to become a marriage celebrant!!!!

Lots of organizing for our wedding still.. I just finished making my jewelery (i'm wearing a red gown)

I also made (put flowers & leaves) on my Angel of love's flower basket.. I have to find red feather wings for her still..


I still have lots to do, book and make (including my red veil).. one thing at a time i guess :)

I ordered the bridesmaids dresses too.. I'm having two.. One in lime (it's more of a bottle/olive green), and the other in purple (dark-hopefully). The fabric is stretch satin. It looks fabulous on the girls! Here's a pic of the dress..
My partners aunt said that she would do our flowers (combination of lime orchids, red roses & some purple flower's (i forgot their name!).

I have booked the reception center, written the ceremony (pagan), booked the photographer, braided our handfasting cord.. i've been a busy bee!!!

Oh.. and instead of having a little bride and groom.. i'm having a lady beetle and bee (it was easy to talk the page boy in to this thanx to bumble bee from the transformers movie!) I'm calling them ' Natures Gifts'.

I had been a little concerned about my bridesmaid to be as i have had difficulty contacting her.

I found out today that a murder took place literally IN THE HOUSE ACROSS THE ROAD!!!

A 25 year old girl lost the plot and killed her father and sister and stabbed her mother. The next door neighbor was mowing the lawn at the time so most people didn't hear what was going on till it was too late.

The murders are being blamed on a tenet of Scientology that rejects psychiatry and psychiatric drugs. They do not believe that mental illness exist. Such ignorance was bound to lead to disaster.

Tom Cruise is a dickhead as far as i'm concerned.. he was reported saying "You don't know the history of psychiatry. I do … There's no such thing as a chemical imbalance in the body," . A load of bullshit really.. I know from personal experience that the body can have chemical imbalances that can be healthily treated with medication that corrects the imbalance. I also believe that this imbalance can be treated without drugs, but this can not happen unless the person receiving treatment understands the root of their problem and believes they can heal themselves.

People against Scientology are having a field day with this one..

Anyway back to the story,

The event caused chaos on the street, the houses surrounding the 'murder house' were taped off as crime scenes, My bridesmaids husband and son could not get back in the house (or street) till 11pm. The whole neighborhood is shaken up.. Who could guess that something like this could happen so close to you.

We've set a date for the wedding 22/2/08. The moon seems to be a good place for celebrations. The sun will be in Pisces and it is the day after Simon's birthday.. Double celebration!!

It's a weird feeling. I once believed that it was not in the cards for me to be married in this life. I've been bridesmaid 9 times and used to joke that if you looked up the saying "always a bridesmaid, never a bride" my picture would be there :) It is a nice feeling to know that there is a companion that wants to spend the rest of their life with you.

We are looking at having a pagan/spiritual ceremony. Simon is not really fussed about how it happens, I on the other hand am having loads of fun planning the different aspects of the ritual. I'd like to invoke the elements and bring their blessings in to our relationship as well as call on the goddess and god to unite in love in our hearts. I also want to be married with a hand-fasting ritual using coloured ribbons (one for each chakra) for each vow.

I would like to wear a red dress with my 2 bridesmaids in purple and green. There is so much to organise!

Just to add to the pot, i'm still in the process of planning our 10 year reunion for high school as well as helping friends plan baby showers. We just finished renovating the guest room, Simon is concreting the front of the house as i'm typing these words and we still have the dining room, laundry and computer/workout room to do...

It's a busy year!

And i said yes.. :) - It took me a while to say it though, i was in a state of delirium (maybe me spinning around till i got dizzy just before he bent on one knee and asked me to marry him fuzzied my sensors)

It was beautiful... we were in a private garden in Mount Wilson and it seemed the gods were smiling on us..

I took S to a party Saturday night. Nick and Andrew (a gay couple) are friends of mine and are amazing. They had a party at their place just to get their friends together. It was interesting as Simon had never 'met' a homosexual before (not that he knew anyway..) Both Simon and I had fantastic time. We met soooo many gr8 people and had enlightening conversations about a range of topics (most of them spiritual orientated)..
We stayed in the city that night. Poor S had a little too much to drink and was feeling under the weather.. We woke the Sunday morning (having gained and hour due to daylight savings) and went in to Darling Harbour and had a yummy breakfast.

I had booked  a rush hour extreme boat ride for S's birthday and it almost looked like they were going to cancel due to bad weather (it's already been canceled once). But alas, we got suited up and go in to the boat. I was a little scared at first, worried that my back may not be able to handle the rough ride. But i decided that i could not continue holding myself back.  As soon as i sat in the boat (you sort of straddle the seat, strap your feet down and hold on to a upside down U shape bar) I felt 100% confident. It's strange that this could feel so familiar. We went out in to the ocean, there were HUGE waves and it was dark and grey due to complete cloud cover. The boat was going so fast that it would rise completely out of the water and slam back down after going over a wave. I was reminded of a dream i had many years ago which i had connected to leaving Lemuria.. The bizarre thing is that i could not wipe the smile off my face. The crew member took a picture of us and S had to get a copy as he keeps laughing at my face.. I had on these big glasses and a bright yellow hood covering my hair so only my toothy smile is visible.. I like making him laugh and he was very proud of me, he recons i'm a natural :P



Our boat was very similar to this one.. it is normally used by the defense force and is the fastest boat on the harbour..

Ohh.. and i got some peanut brittle from the fudge shop... YUM!!

Grrr!

I went to the child care center today to check how the tiler was going and to my horror the tiler had put random coloured tiles on top of what i wanted in the 2-6 year olds bathroom..

He is the best tiler i've met and so far and has followed my instructions very well. The problem is with the owners wife... apparently she saw extra tiles and told him to 'put them everywhere'. Nobody thought to call me before hand to check..

I was so angry with her.. She was apoligising but i found it hard to listen to her. I don't work well with women and especially her as she has a comment for everything and has an annoying way of following me around. But i guess people are mirrors to ourselves...

I told them that if they want me to do my job,  i can't have someone else there un-doing things in my wake..  Im not being unreasonable, i always ask their opinion before i decide on something and i have saved them alot of money.. The center is going to look amazing, nothing like any other place i've seen yet...

Anyway, I'll get over it....

It's been an interesting week to say the least...


I had a panic attack and had to take medication to calm it down after meditating did not work. Im praying that this madness will be over soon. These things usually come in three's... it's over... right???

I feel like a tree with all of my leaves dead.. I feel like i need to 'shake them off' but am also feeling afraid of being 'bare'.

I haven't felt this before...

I will be experiencing my Saturn return this year, so im contributing this experience to the ending of an important cycle.

So much happening.. but it seems that every time i try to post something just stops me..

Some strange things to report though.

• We drove in to a large swarm of bees. They were in our lane only and we couldn't stop. Initially i thought it was locus and my partner thought it was grasshoppers. The residue covered the whole wind screen.. there must have been thousands! It wasn't until we cleaned the screen that we realized they were bees and there was honey and bee residue all over the bonnet and inside the grill. I felt sooooo bad. The little bees had collected pollen and were heading to the hive to make honey when we mass killed them. The worse part though is that just before it happened i saw a sign saying honey for sale and was thinking of stopping to get some. The only good thing was that it was a hot day and we had the air-con on so the windows weren't open. OMG i don't even want to think about what would have happened then!

• We made love on a dam wall!! It was very beautiful..

• We were driving to S's mums house (beautiful property in Ulladulla on the South Coast) when we were stopped by a man crossing the road in a fancy black suit wearing a top hat and carrying a drill all the while giving us this weird look that i couldn't decipher... we were in the middle of the bush.. no shops or properties in sight.. very bizarre.

• About 45 mins after we left the property to drive home i realized that i had left 2 large rings including new ring that S had bought me. I remember taking it off and putting it on the window sill as i was doing the dishes. I was so upset. We stopped the car and searched everywhere (including my jeans pockets twice even though i hardly ever use them). He was prepared to go back to get it.. I couldn't believe it.. He's just awesome.. anyway.. i told him not to worry about it and that his mother could post it to us later. I kept checking my pockets on the drive home.. still nothing.. until we nearly arrived home and i had forgotten about it. I felt a stab in my upper leg and THEY JUST APPEARED IN MY POCKET!!
• Ive had some strange dreams... one was particularly disturbing of a hurricane.
